Drawing a blueprint for campus development

After a decade away, Dr Tom Fong Wing-ho, returned to The Education University of Hong Kong last September, taking on the role of Vice President (Administration). He oversees the management of the University’s administrative functions and upholds the philosophy of ‘collaborative effort and collective wisdom’, working closely with the Council, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders from various sectors to jointly promote the continuous development of EdUHK.

Visiting Professor Xu Bing & space art

As one of the most creative and influential artists of our time, Professor Xu Bing adeptly employs a variety of media to explore the essence of art and civilisation, addressing social issues through his creations. In March this year, he was invited to be Visiting Professor at the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at The Education University of Hong Kong. His appointment also marks the launch of the one-year ‘Where Sky and Earth Meet’ Space Art Education programme, under which EdUHK students can participate in moving image creation and have their select works sent into outer space.

In line with its Strategic Plan 2025-2031, EdUHK is introducing an array of forward-looking new programmes at both master’s and undergraduate levels. Designed to prepare graduates for a rapidly changing world, they cover areas such as artificial intelligence, new media, digital Chinese culture and communication, as well as personal finance.
