Diverse activities unite at EdUHK Alumni Day

EdUHK held its annual Alumni Day in March, attracting some 2,000 participants. Alumni and faculty gathered to reconnect and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the University's retitling.

At the opening ceremony, the drum band from Sir Robert Black College of Education Past Students’ Association Lau Kwong Fai Memorial School and representatives from Sir Robert Black College of Education Past Students’ Association Ho Sau Ki School delivered a majestic performance and a spectacular dragon dance, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Numerous alumni and community leaders attended to show their support, creating a warm and lively scene.

In his welcoming remarks, EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin expressed his gratitude to the alumni for their years of support and active participation in various alumni activities, working hand in hand with the University to promote educational development. To further support student learning and development, he announced the launch of the Alumni Million Matching Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, alumni donations will be matched on a one-to-one basis to fund scholarships, financial aid, overseas or mainland exchange programmes, and learning development projects.

Co-organised by the Alumni Affairs and Development Office alongside over 20 academic and administrative departments, alumni associations, and supporting organisations, this year's Alumni Day featured the largest number of participating units in the event’s history. The event offered a rich and colourful line-up of activities, including a family-favourite Easter egg hunt carnival, a creative cupcake decorating workshop, campus guided tours, and various food and game booths, drawing participants of all ages to enjoy the festivities and share fond memories.
